Why 400 GSM

The GSM measures the density of the jacket, which is where the grip comes into play. The 400 GSM of the Essentials is the perfect balance: enough density so the opponent cannot easily break your grip, without the extra weight of a 450 GSM when you are training five days a week.

The pants are the same 10 oz ripstop found on our Hirosuga line: the difference between lines is in the jacket, not the bottoms.

No shrinking

The pearl weave cotton undergoes thermal preshrinking before sewing. This stabilizes the fabric and prevents the gi from becoming too short after the first few washes, so you don't have to buy a larger size to compensate.

Sizing

If you are between sizes, choose the larger one. Since it does not shrink, what fits tightly at the start will remain tight. Diego Martínez is 1.74 m tall, weighs 80 kg, and wears an A2.

Care
