Why white

White is the most common color in competition and the one that many academies require for gi classes. If you are only going to have one, it is the safe choice: you will never be turned away because of the color.

Does not shrink

The pearl weave cotton undergoes thermal preshrinking before sewing. This stabilizes the fabric and prevents the kimono from becoming too short after the first few washes. In a white gi, this matters twice as much, because shrinkage is usually accompanied by a loss of shape in the lapel and cuffs.

Sizing
